The credential is called a Remote Pilot Licence with a drone rating. Applicants submit a written application to the CAA, pass an aeronautical-knowledge exam or complete an RPL training course, and log at least 5 hours operating an RPA; pilots who already hold a manned, air-traffic-control, or military-equivalent license are considered to already meet the knowledge and experience requirement.
