RPAS operator course toward the Bolivian DGAC remote-pilot credential.
Visit website ↗These schools train drone pilots in Bolivia, from first flights to commercial work. Programs, schedules, and pricing change often, so contact each school directly for current details.
Bolivia does not issue an individual drone-pilot license; its rule registers the aircraft and authorizes the operation instead. Every drone from about 200 grams up to 35 kilograms must get a registration number from the DGAC through an online form and display it on the aircraft.
The only pilot requirement is age: the remote pilot must be 18, and younger flyers must be accompanied by a responsible adult pilot. Commercial or aerial-work flights need a special flight authorization from the DGAC; there is no knowledge exam, medical, or pilot credential.
Bolivia's Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) regulates RPAS under Boletín Regulatorio BR-AAP-0266/2020, complemented by the Reglamentación Aeronáutica Boliviana (RAB) Parte 91, Apéndice M. All drones must be registered with the DGAC via its online form, and commercial 'trabajo aéreo' requires prior DGAC authorization.
To operate as a remote pilot the applicant must hold a DGAC remote-pilot credential, be at least 18 for populated-area operations, and demonstrate theoretical and practical instruction with a written examination.
