Peru issues a remote-pilot accreditation through the DGAC of the Ministry of Transport, the MTC. You must be of legal age and pass an aeronautical knowledge exam with a minimum of 75 percent; the exam is taken online in about thirty minutes, supervised live by video call.
Apply through the MTC's virtual filing desk with a sworn declaration and a photo. The MTC states the process is free and resolved within thirty business days.
In Peru, drone (RPAS) use is governed by Ley No. 30740 and its regulation approved by Decreto Supremo No. 012-2026-MTC, administered by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) of the Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC).
Non-recreational operators must be accredited by the DGAC, and RPAS in the Open and Specific categories must be entered in the DGAC's registry. Accreditation is obtained after training and passing a supervised theoretical evaluation.
